When Cheap Becomes Cheaper

When I got $25 for eBay for doing on of Influenster’s campaigns, I decided to try and buy clothes from no-name stores I've never ordered from. I mean, what did I have to lose really? It was kind of free money and there are tons and tons and tons of stuff on eBay that I can buy.

There’s this one top that I have been eyeing on from an online retailer based in Korea (I believe) but I thought maybe I can find it cheaper on eBay so I copied the name and pasted it on eBay. Guess what! I found the same item for at least 50% less! The bargain shopper in me could NOT refuse this one anymore.

If you have not really been to the depths of shopping on eBay, you might ask, what are the pros and cons of buying from eBay?

Pros

• Free shipping for most of the products.
• Great customer service – their English is not perfect but they always try to make every customer have a positive experience. They even email to see if you’ve received the item.
• Super cheap!
• There is always a variety of items to choose from.
• Buy it now option. ICYMI eBay is not only for auctions anymore.

Cons

• It takes a LONG time to be delivered because it’s from China.

How Do You Store Your Accessories?

My coworker and I were walking around the streets by our office the other day and decided to stop by Walgreens, totally forgetting that everything they were selling for the holidays is at least 50% off. I saw this accessory tree with the $9.99 tag, I squinted and thought that if it's part of the 50% holiday items sale, I will get it without getting the go from Ron. I mean, it's going to be $5 and I kind of need it and it was the last one on the shelf. IT WAS MEANT TO BE ;) Before going to bed that night,  Ron looked at it and said, "Lovey, your accessory holder shouldn't be that small, it should be thiiiis *makes a huge air bubble with his hands and arms* big!" LOL He knows me too well!

When I took it out of the box, I was so glad it's very sturdy - no wobbling or anything. So if you live or work close to a Walgreens, check out their holiday aisle and check and see if they still have this available. :)

Got this Forever 21 skirt recently and I could't wait to wear it. The day I got it, I already picked pieces that I can wear it with and made sure to hang it next to it.

Shopping Adventures + Giveaway Update

Shopping Adventures

A coworker/friend wanted to go shopping last Friday during lunch break so we headed to Ventura Blvd to shop and cute things. We found 3 cute places, Timeless, Sway and Soto. All three stores were very trendy but my favorite is Sway - my thoughts on this store shall be in another blog post. Soto had really cute displays and they were kind of Urban Outfitters-ish with their home decor items. The picture of the boxes below was taken from their store.

The boyfriend needed to buy a suit for a wedding he's attending so we headed to the Los Angeles Fashion District today to find an awesome suit... and he found one! YES! He also got a shirt and jeans along the way while I got some accessories (to add to the giveaway) and a bag!

The Girl Who Makes Bow Ties

Today's my Friday (YAY!) and I want to share with you another store that I love visiting, Jill Pineda. The store is owned by a fellow blogger, well... Jill Pineda.
