Pike Place Market [Pacific Northwest Day3]

The last place we went to during our stay in Seattle was Pike Place Market and I think this place easily became our favorite place in Seattle. It's a good place to see what Seattle really is about. The coffee capital of the world, the fresh seafood, the beautiful flowers, the on and off rain, the breezy sea...Seattle is about a lot of amazing things that I LOVE. One thing I used to not love though is greek yogurt. I cannot handle the taste of it. I always need another scoop of honey to the point that I can't even taste the yogurt anymore. LOL But we tried this one place, Ellenos which serves absolutely the best greek yogurt ever. It tastes like normal yogurt and they have AMAZING flavors. The guy who works there said that they're trying to open another location here in Southern California and it would be beyond amazing if we get it here. They're hard to miss too, they're right across from the giant piggy bank at the market. I cannot wait to go back.

Before we all went to the airport, our dad took us to this buffet restaurant called Mizuki. I thought it was going to be so-so. However, it's the absolute opposite. I still cannot get over the quality of their sushi bar while Ron cannot stop talking about their lobsters. Aaaah, foooooood.

Canada [Pacific Northwest Day2]

Woke up really early (but not early enough) on Saturday to drive up to Vancouver and visit the Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia. We got there pretty late primarily because of getting up a little too late and secondarily because of my stupidity...and I'd rather not talk about it. I must say, the stuff we learned at the museum was pretty interesting and it was such a weird feeling learning about the first nations of Canada. I feel like I've been stuck learning about my peoples without thinking of other nations' (I guess I'll refer to them as) indigenous people?

Anyway, the day was really gray and it was snowing lightly for the most part of the day.

Our last stop was Granville Street. This was not intentional, I wanted to try Mean Poutine but when we found it and saw that they don't have seats, we continued to walk and look for a place. We found this place where everything was $4.95 and everything was pretty good. Epi and I also made sure to try Tim Hortons so we stopped by the one you see in the picture and got each of us a cappuccino.

One day is not enough to explore Vancouver. Even my dad suggested that the next time we go, we should stay the night and continue our stay until the next day.

The Space Needle [Pacific Northwest Day1]

We planned our first day in Seattle to be a day trip to Canada but as you will see in the pictures, we failed on that because we forgot about needing a GPS for the drive there. LOL! So we had to call our dad and ask him if we can borrow his GPS. That visit-slash-drive to their house turned into a late lunch at the Spice Bay Buffet in Auburn, WA. After the HUGE lunch, we drove to downtown Seattle and went to the Space Needle. We hung out at the Center House a bit later to have coffee, sit down, rest, and chat a bit. An hour and a half later, we checked in to the hotel, drove down to our dad's again and had seafood dinner where I cut my fingers from trying to open up too many crab shells. Haha!
