Chop, Chop

This is actually a question about Locks of Love. Has anyone donated their hair?

I want to donate my hair when I finally get the courage to chop it off. After our first wedding, I realized that super long hair is not really advisable when you're going to have your hair done up. Our wedding is in 2015 and I think that's enough time to let my hair grow out and be long enough. I also miss having short hair. Not Anne Hathaway status though! A tad bit longer than that. Like this...
Okay seriously, don't be judging me. This was several pounds ago and I was in a party girl phase. LOL

  1. Here's a post about our experiences with "Angel Hair for Kids" (similar to locks of love, but the hair goes specifically to children- but adults can donate of course ;)

  2. I actually just donated my hair to Locks of Love a few weeks ago (when I finally got the courage to chop off 12 inches haha). I was just ready for a major change, and knowing it was for more than myself really gave me the extra motivation.

I think you should go for it!

  5. You look adorable with short hair! I donated mine to locks of love almost 5 years ago, and I'm really glad I did. It's just nice knowing I was able to help a child with cancer or another illness feel a little bit normal. Plus Filipino hair grows so fast and healthy, I think you'd be a prime candidate.

  9. I've done it and it's very liberating--but you need to make sure your hair is in great shape first!! I think you look super-cute with short or long hair, you might enjoy a different style.

  10. When I donated my hair, I was devastated. Lol I know it was for a good cause but I spent the whole next year, tugging at my hair willing it to grow longer. LOL. I'm curious about yours and Ron's wedding, I thought you guys got hitched already?
