elf Eyebrow Kit in Medium Review

On one of my I-want-to-declutter-the-shit-out-of-this-house days, I accidentally threw away my brand new eye primer from elf thinking it's the old, expired one. In the process of replacing it, I picked this eyebrow kit just for the heck of trying it.

As you can see, I went all crazy trying to get the gel part to stick to the super thin angled brush. This is something they can definitely improve on. Also, the brush for the powdered part isn't good either that I wanted to grab my other brushes but since I wanted to find out if this whole thing can work on its own, I just stuck with whatever is in the package.

Yes guys, I'm still trying to learn how to work this thing. Hell, I'm still trying to figure out what shades look good on me! Haha! So please excuse the amateur-isque nature of this review.Oh and I have uneven eyebrows and I really think I need to make them thinner.

Pros
  • cost - $3 (use your REDcard for additional 5% off)
  • easy to use especially if you have your own brushes
  • the case is pretty solid
Cons
  • the conjoined brushes are so flimsy

  4. I love ELF, but you have to sort of take their products with a grain of salt! I think they are great for things like blush, primers, etc;, but I'll leave things like mascara, eyeliner and foundation to more expensive (and high quality) brands. Their brow kit looks good, though! I would probably just get my own makeup brush for it and toss the flimsy included ones :)
