Fifty Shades of Grey the Movie

Fifty Shades of Grey is the only trilogy I have ever read. No kidding. I think E. L. James cut them at the right parts to keep people reading. I mean of course she did, after all, the book business is all about profit. Businesses are all about profit. Even though we have to admit, although compelling, the book was poorly written.

I watched the movie last night with my cousins and as a book fan, I really liked the movie. There were some moments that were ruined because the lines were said in a way I would never have imagined but overall, the movie was decent and I did not regret watching it at the theater like I did with Man of Steele Steel.

---------------------------[STOP! SPOILER ALERT.]---------------------------

One. The hardware store scene was very, very cute.

Two. I think Anastasia Steele gave the movie life. Thanks to Dakota Johnson's talent. She must have read the book over a hundred times because she's all you'd I imagined Ana Steele to be. She had a smart mouth and said whatever she was thinking. She is the star of the movie, not Christian Grey which is kind of weird because the movie is about Grey. Steele's inner struggles were more portrayed than Grey's and all you would see are maybe, 5 shades of him.

Three. I think the movie was interpreted, directed and executed well and it's not as painfully awkward as Twilight was (the book which Fifty Shades of Grey is a fan fiction of).

Four. I was most shocked at the scene where they show a teeny part of Grey's penis. Not gonna lie, it made me gasp.

Five. Prepare to see butts. I like butts...and I cannot lie.

Bonus. The soundtrack is great. The music were awkward at times but in some parts, it made the movie more intense and compelling.

  4. You're actually the first person I hear is satisfied about the movie...All my friends who went see it were really disappointed! I didn't like the first book (and I refuse to keep reading the others) so I won't watch the movie, but I'm anyway curious about everybody reactions!

    1. I totally understand where people who didn't like it are coming from! There was not enough action in the movie. At some point I was looking for excitement and was tempted to walk out of the theater to pee. But maybe because I read the book, I filled the missing parts in my brain. :) I'd say if you're not a fan of the plot, skip it and wait for it on Netflix.

  5. Ok, I totally missed that penis scene! I never read the books, so maybe you can help explain this to me, but why were her clothes so so so terrible throughout the entire movie? Like, I understand that she's a little bit of a train wreck, but I have to believe that she can dress better than that. Plus, her hair was just as bad (except immediately after she had sex...it seems like it should be opposite, haha). I found her clothes/hair to be really distracting throughout the film, but maybe that's something I'm missing since I didn't read the books?
