A Special Wednesday

Hi Loveyboy,

It's Monday today and I'm so nervous for your upcoming birthday. I am telling myself that this is because of the coffee but we both know that every time your birthday rolls around, I get anxiety for no apparent reason. LOL But this post is not about me - it's all about you so let me get started...

First of all, like always, I'd like to thank you for existing and being the most perfect person to spend my life with. You are so patient with me, even if it means dealing with how picky I am about everything at times. Thanks for trying to make me smile everyday as well. You have no idea how much it means to me every time we are not together, to know that I have you to make me smile. Thanks too for dancing with me at the most random places, and at home even if there is no music but the melodies our hearts are playing in sync. Please know that I will always be here for you, no matter what. Even if I get so busy, you should know that thinking of what you can eat for dinner is always in my brain's to do list. ;)

So it's Tuesday now and I'm still writing this. The last 24 hours was insane, and I know that you realized that as soon as 7pm struck on Monday and I was not home yet. All the time I was not home yesterday, I was already thinking of how I can make it up to you and to be honest, I could not think of anything but to cuddle with you. And that's what I did. Thanks for making dinner for me, I loved the gesture and of course, what you prepared.

It's the night of your birthday now, and we are currently watching Property Brothers. Our obsession with these HGTV shows really needs to be put to good use soon. Haha! I guess this is the part where I tell you my wishes for you. So here goes... Like everyone says, I wish you all the best life could offer you. I wish that you continue to be blessed with people who inspire you. May you be in such great health forever (seriously though, you're the only person who gets a one-day flu!!!). Last but not the least, may your wishes come true and plans pull through.
All my love,
Loveygirl

PS, I promise to make sure that you get a chance to eat as much lobster as you'd like again [like you did in the picture ;)]!

Mom's Day

We all had a busy day on moms' day. Ron and I were coming from San Diego and my mom, sister, sister-in-law and her brother were coming from San Jacinto, and just so you get the picture - both cities were over a hundred miles away from where we live. Since I had my car in the shop (yay for new tires and struts!), Ron drove the whole time because he drives a stick. When they got to our house, we hung out a bit then walked around Old Town Monrovia. Unfortunately, I forgot to grab our DSLR on our way out but at least I had a point and shoot and got to take a few pictures. :)
1. Mom
2. Mom again. ;) (Dress: Old Navy. Sandals: Steve Madden)
3. Ron and his imaginary girlfriend. LOL
4. My sister and Mom.
PS
My birthday's in a month :)

These Women

Happy mothers' day to these three remarkable women who were always there for me when I was growing up.

To my mom [slash dad], even though we don't live in the same city anymore, thank you for still being there for me. I appreciate everything even just your presence because sometimes, all I really need is my comfort blanket. I love you so so so much, more than I love chocolates and baking. I'm so glad I have the best and the coolest mom (even though it makes me look so uncool sometimes haha)!

To my grandma, thanks for always making sure I was well-fed. I may not always call you but you're always in my heart no matter what. I love you lola, you're the best lola in the world! :)

To my ate Ria, you (and John) have raised very smart and beautiful children. I'm so proud of what you've accomplished and I will continue to be your #1 fan. I love you!

I was having an amazing weekend until I remembered that it's Sunday night and it's almost bed time. Gah! The weekend flew by quick! I guess it's always that way when you're able to do a ton of stuff while having fun! This weekend, we...
-went to the Farmer's Market
-partied with friends
-went to a baby shower
-tried a new bakery - JJ Bakery
-tried a new (bad ass) dumpling place - Din Tai Fung (I'm amazed by how I can remember the name of the place)
-ran errands
-oh and got to go to the 626 Night Market - good thing I brought it up during lunch! :)

I saw this necklace and decided to get two...One for me and one for one of you. I'm  just extremely thankful for everyone who visits JanMLoves. Every email notification for a new comment makes me smile. As dorky as this may sound, sometimes, I cheer when I hear that Gmail app beep! I swear, blogger friends are the nicest people. If the world was full of bloggers, it would be soooo much better!

Like my previous giveaways, I'm going to use Rafflecopter so you know the drill! ;)
