It is Never Just "A Walk to Marshalls"

My coworker and I have some days when we want to yell out "f*** this" and walk out like a boss just because it's Friday. But realistically, we can't do that so we make up for it by taking a walk to the closest "dangerous place," Marshalls.

This one Friday, I found and tried on a pair of 7 1/2 navy pumps from the clearance section, picked up the loafers I was wearing and walked around the store in them. After over 30 minutes, I could NOT find anything wrong with them, they were so comfy and the price was right despite it being leather! It was such a great deal and I can actually see myself wearing them all the time - two things I think about when I'm thinking about buying something. So yeah, they became MINE. ;)

Have a fabulous Friday, everyone!

Three of a Kind

I am obsessed with these booties. I cannot remember which blog I saw the black pair from but when I showed it to my mom, she bought me all of the colors. Haha! They were actually early Christmas presents and I've been pretty much living in them. They're so comfy and they don't make me feel like a giant. Hahaha! SO PERFECT.

Facepalm + Giveaway

It's been pretty chilly here in LA or as one of my friends and I call it, "nippy." Hahaha! Anyway, I almost forgot about these photos. These were taken back in October when I can still wear pretty light clothes. I am in love with these shoes by the way. I don't wear them often because honestly, sometimes every time I take them out, I don't know what I'm doing when I'm planning an outfit to go with them. *facepalm* I kind of need help in this department.

Last night, Ron returned the fancy camera flash he got a couple of weeks ago. He also made sure that I didn't care. I honestly did not care about it since I have not been into taking pictures (and outfits) lately. Anyway, while he was on my phone (I don't know why but one of our friends like calling him through my phone), I heard him say, "Yeah, I returned the camera flash so I can buy stuff for my mountain bike *giggles like a school girl*." I butted in in a very soft voice, "So that's why..."*facepalm* Oh my, oh my, I love this silly guy.

P.S.
I'm hosting a giveaway on Party of One! :)

Shoe Haul

I went shopping with Ron and mom today and got these! I'm so excited to wear them in fall!

Boots - Steve Madden
Loafers - Lucky Brand (kind of similar)
Flats - Michael Kors
I love all three of them, I don't even know if it's fair to pick a favorite. Now let me do something about my new "one in one out"* closet rule.

*If I get a new item, I need to donate an item from my closet - to save space and spread goodness  ;)
Alright now people, I found where I got the one in one out closet rule: CLICK HERE

Welcoming Fall

So who's excited for summer to end? You, no? Honestly, I am. I'm not very fond of getting sticky and sweaty because of the humidity here in California despite the fact that I grew up in a tropical country, the heat here in the valley is so intense that I would end up having a hard time breathing. Anyhooooow, I was on Polyvore the other night and imagined myself shopping for brown stuff to match the upcoming season! Brown, brown, brown, I've never been a fan of it till now since I'm kind of getting tired of bright colors. Although let's admit it, living in LA makes it legit to wear bright colors all year round :)

Summer Shoes

It's been a while since I've written something about shoes on my blog so here. Barratts reached out to me asking if they can be a sponsor of my blog. I honestly have never heard of the store but when I visited their site and found some great items, of course, yes was my answer!

I went through their sale section which has items that are up to 70% off, and found these pretty ones that are perfect for summer! I've asked if they ship outside of the UK and I'll let you know what I find! :)

In My Shoes

I've always known that my shopaholic tendency is fueled by my ability to find pretty great deals... even for things that I don't need AT ALL (like my 3 extra pairs of black pumps) and my commitment issues with my clothes and shoes (I get tired of them easily). Anyway, I just wanted to share these pocket friendly shoes that I recently purchased! :)

$15 - $235
$25 - $248
$26 - $50

Any great deals you know about?

The Target Curse

Ever went to Target to buy one thing? Just ONE THING and you end up buying way more? Yes, that's the Target Curse. I was going to buy an elf Eyelid Primer that only costs a dollar but I ended up walking out with way more than I expected. I saw Joanna's post about her Shoe Haul and got convinced to check out my local Target's weekly ad... Guess what I found...
Focus on the $12 Flats!

Of course, I need new flats, I wear casual clothes everyday to work. So... I went to Target after work and got the primer, Tic Tacs, a pair of animal print flats and...

Ta-daaah! Finally! The end of the search for my official spring sandals! :D

Alright, shopping stops NOW. Going to try to focus on posting more about outfits! I just remembered I haven't shared my thrift shopping adventure (with mommy) with you guys! Soon probably!

Juuust Fab!

I signed up for Just Fab last week and saw that they offer 50% off a pair for new members, of course, I had to grab the deal and look for a pair of shoes that do not look like any of my other shoes. I admire printed shoes but my boyfriend doesn't and he thinks that it's too wild. I see his point so I always opt for more simple shoes, keeping it tame and romantic.

Back to my point, here are the Carmen heels I got from Just Fab. I paid $19.98 for them and I didn't even have to pay for shipping - a steal I know!
Thinking of buying a similar pair? Check out how Just Fab's outfit suggestion HERE.

I'm going to create outfits that would look great with these new ones through Polyvore.. but that's another blog post. :)

I hope you guys are not tired of my posts about shoes yet I promise to post about something else in my next blog. ;)

PS
Just wanted share a piece of me with you guys, I often just wear my nice heeled shoes in Vegas, a place I visit at least 3 times a year. I love that city...it's the only place where I unleash (drink, gamble, party and dress very Vegas-sy)! Pretty conservative in my opinion knowing that I live less than 10 miles from Hollywood where the parties are amazing!

My Nth Pair

Last week, my mom discovered this mall, less than 10 miles from our apartment.  My visiting aunt from Chicago needed to get new shoes for an office event so we headed there on Saturday. We decided to split up since they (mom and aunt) wanted to go around Macys and Ron and I wanted to walk around the mall to look for... great deals.

I got a little excited when I saw that they had Cotton On there since the store always has GREAT stuff in their sale rack + I really wanted to get a new top from there. Not event halfway into the store, I saw these wedges, tried them on, checked the price tag... they were on sale for $15!!! I so quickly headed to the cashier to pay for them after Ron gave me the go ahead. :)

Rubi's Stevie Boot. I own many Rubi shoes and their pretty durable!
You can order them online here.

Did I mention that I was so excited, I wore it the next day to the Laker game? ;)

Shoe Mom

I want to start writing about my mom's outfits. I am proud (and a little embarrased hahaha) that my mom dresses up and goes on nightouts more than me. She's over 40 and she looks really good for her age! Unlike me, she has that petite built and perfect height for heels. ;) Anyway, she gave me a new pair of flats from Tahari. They're velvety and soft so I'm sure I won't get scars from it and it also has a bow! Sooo cute! Thanks mom! :)

Sick and Random Thoughts

Depending on Alka-Seltzer today!
I went home sick from work today.  An hour after being there and waiting for the authorities to give me the go ahead, I left and was allowed to work from home. So here I am, trying to make up for the time I could have used for a 10 minute break at work.

Today on Twitter...
Follow me on Twitter. I promise to approve and follow back. :)

Fashion Geek left a comment on my blog the other day and this led me to her online shop of vintage clothing. Of course, I already emailed her about stuff I like and I am hoping she would say yes to mailing stuff to the US!

Ever since I saw Jennifer Lopez wear her mustard blazer on American Idol, I have been WANTING one for myself. I heard and saw from a friend that they have mustard blazers at F21 so going there is in my to-do list.

I cannot find the bracelets I used last Saturday. Perhaps I left it at my friend's place?

Spring Fashion is getting into me. Seeing colorful clothes and cute wedges makes me want to buy this... But my mom said it looks too plain.

Speaking of shoes, I signed up for Just Fab today!

I'm excited for the birthday surprise vacation I have for Ron! I'm driving him there blindfolded hoping he could fall asleep despite his excitement. :)

I have decided to start sharing my closet here in my blog... not wearing them though, I feel awkward taking pictures of my outfits :)

New Vegas Shoes

I have always been a fan of Mary Jane shoes because they don't make your feet as tired as when you're wearing regular pumps because of its strap. So when I saw this at DSW yesterday, I got so excited because besides fitting my feet perfectly, it has that color blocking factor! How much? Slash 50% off of $44.95. Yes, I got lucky! ;)

And yes, we had springtime weather in LA yesterday hence the short dress.

"That Weird Connection"

Yesterday, I was talking with someone at work about this "connection" Ron and I have...like while I'm texting him about my whereabouts, my phone will ring and he's the one calling. Funny thing is, the answer to his first question is what I was texting to him. It happened again last night when I saw him comment back to Mark, our friend who works at Nike telling him that he wants a Nike Free. I texted Mark that I want to get shoes for Ron so he should fish and make him pick what he wants so I can get it for him.

While Mark and I were texting, he was reporting Ron's IMs to him. He was telling me that Ron wants to buy 2 pairs of shoes! TWO! I asked Mark if he was messing with me and he didn't reply.

After hearing that Ron wanted 2, I gave up on the idea, I can't afford that right now, I'm saving up for a car so maybe I'll pass on the "I'm a good girl friend card" for now.

Now here's the twist of the story! Later that night Ron IMed me "lovey, bili tayo ng shoes, partners tayo." Hahaha! I was laughing quietly in my bed when I read his IM. Who would have thought that he was thinking of getting me shoes too? :)
