Winter Face Plant

I've always been in love with the cold, I even chose to study college in a university in one of the coldest places in the Philippines! Anyway, back to my point, brought by my love for the cold is my obsession with going to snowy places and (slowly) mastering the art of snowboarding.

Earlier this year, my friends and I headed to Big Bear, CA to celebrate a birthday and to ofcourse, snowboard! We had a lot of first timers in our group - maybe about 4 and I must say, 2 of them did great and fell in love with the sport. My cousin was one of the 2 and as proud as I am that she learned, here's a little clip from her first ever run down a slope...

I can't wait for snow to hit the winter cities of California!

Big Bear Trip No. 3

We drove back to Big Bear with a lot of friends to celebrate Jay and Dee's birthday. It was a fun trip, I didn't get enough of snowboarding though. I was not even tired, my muscles were just starting to get sore. I usually snowboard till I feel like I'm dying. But since we were teaching people to snowboard, we were going way too slow than mine and Ron's normal pace. Ron's 5minute run/Jan's 10-15minute run turned into a 30-45minute run - too slow I know. I also felt like there were too many people. LOL. I know, I know, I'm getting old. ;)

Breathe

I need some air to breathe in. I feel like I've been imprisoned in a cell to do the same thing. Repetition gets old. I always need something to spice things up. Something that will give my life an extra "umph."
  • My classes are doing its trick in making my brain work like it used to when I was in high school and college.
  • Next step is to make my life more romantic; i just hope Ron cooperates. Just so you know, he's not the hopeless romantic type of guy, it just so happens that I'm the hopeless romantic type of girl.
  • My church is also one of my concerns. I want to be a part of one of those community service places such as soup kitchens and feed the homeless people. That should be exciting.
  • I'm planning on registering for the 2011 Stand for Hope Charity Walk/Run. I've never been in a charity run so this is exciting for me!

On another note, I've lost all my excitement towards celebrating Valentine's Day. I don't know I kind of have been feeling very blah this week - that's probably me having vacation withdrawals. I don't think I can work 5 day in a row anymore. The Big Bear trip we went to last week made me feel worse! I wan't to be on vacation (with unlimited pocket money) foreverrr! ;)

That's all for now my lovely readers!

So Stressed

I have a feeling I've been working too much. Or maybe it's just today. But seriously, I need to stop giving myself shit whenever I do something wrong. It's always the same 2 punishments: eat too much or not eat anything at all. Right now, it's not eat anything at all. In other news...

Don't judge! I'll fix it soon!!!

TRYING to pack.

My desk is turning into a girl zone! Beanies and hats, chick flick DVDs and sunglasses and books and... okay it's a mess I know but I'll fix it before my trip to Baguio... I mean Big Bear next week. I don't know whether I should be excited or for the trip but I'm anxious. We're borrowing Mom's car and staying at this really cute inn we found out about at Living Social. I found out about the website, Ron found out about the deal. It was $165 for 2 nights at the Fawnskin Inn. Now isn't that a good deal? Ron and I had a misunderstanding before this trip too. It's one of those "Now I'm laughing now that I'm thinking about it" moments. He asked me to reserve the room without his vacation request being approved and I disagreed. I don't think he listened to me when I disagreed so he got mad when he found out that he got his requested time off approved without anywhere to stay in. Hahaha! Anyway, I asked him to call the inn and ask if they can do anything about the situation. The room qualified for the deal was already booked so we upgraded to another room BUT we're still only paying for one night. From the Woodland room, we're now staying in the Lakeview Suite! *victory dance*

Photo in photo taken last year before we drover off to Big Bear.

BONUS ROUND! I have a video of me, my cousin and my friends dancing! I love Kinect and Dance Central! :)
