Recipe: Mini Nutella Pies

Ever been stuck asking this question? After making my first pie ever, I kept the extra dough because I knew it could still be useful in some way. I decided to read about mini pie recipes and remembers this one pastry that I used to make with canned dough many years back. So I came up with this super easy recipe, it may have been done before but I came up with this one on a whim! ;) These mini pies were crispy and soft at the same time, kind of similar to Special K's Pastry Crisps!

1. Roll out the dough.
2. Get your cookie cutter and cut the dough. I only have hearts at home so I tried to make that one work.
3. Put a teaspoon of Nutella on the dough,
4. Fold the dough and seal it with a fork like how I did in the picture. Don't forget to poke holes using the fork on top of the pie!
5. Arrange you mini pies on a parchment paper placed on a cookie sheet and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees F.

Let it cool a bit and enjoy!

  3. This is GENIUS!! I've run into this dilemma all the time and always feel so bad throwing the pie crust away. I bet it would work great with other stuffings too! Like.. peanut butter or perhaps other chocolate candies! Thank you for this!
