It's Okay Thursday: Strange Month [so far]

Its Ok Thursdays
So the past few weeks have been weird. They're not super strange but things that usually don't happen [well...] happened. Aside from thinking that finding a crack on my phone case, texting a picture of my ankles to friends and sisters, finally being able to convince my sister to stop by our house (my baking worked! LOL) and the battery of the DSLR not lasting 3 weeks are okay...

It's okay to...

-Have a swollen right ankle because of driving on LA's surface streets. I actually have tendonitis. 4 miles in 40 mintes. It's better now though but still, #NotFunny.

-Buy random stuff for your house like you just moved to a new place. Sheer curtains, a pair of red pillow cases, a tray for our ottoman, and foldable beach chairs [only $6.88 at the Home Depot, go buy now]. A grill...which leads me to the next one...

-Willingly drive a truck because you do not own one and you have no way to take it home. LOL Oh and yes, I was able to do it despite my tendonitis. ;)

-Let Ron watch The Craziest Videos' videos on their Facebook page using MY iphone for an entire night.

-Wake up weighing 124.2lbs on 4/5. And because that's the lightest you have been in years, you decide to eat at the Indian buffet next to the office for lunch that day and have all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue on Saturday. Yep, 125lbs is the goal. ;)

-Finally make Banana Muffins with Dark Chocolate morsels after months of saying you'll do it. Better late than never.

-Park right in front of Party City where you're going to buy something for an important party but walk around the plaza first and stop by Bed Bath and Beyond Marshalls. Then walk back to Party City and find out they close at 8:30pm. It's 8:40pm. #Fail LOL

-Wake up at 4:30 to work a bit (uhm, clients in the east coast), get ready for work, and right when you get in your car, you need to answer emails and it gets to a point where it's too late for you to leave and get to work on time so you stay at home and work and then leave when things calm down.
It was actually a good change in my routine except for the part where I woke up Ron while resetting the router and he thought I was a burglar. Sorry [again], love!

-Get to work late and have your heart pumping fast and your hands shaking because of the coffee you just had.

How is April going for you?

It's okay to get jealous of your husband whose fitness goal is the totally opposite of yours.

It's okay to eat whatever you want sometimes. Stop making yourself feel guilty.

It's okay to see that you gained a pound after eating out for two days. It's water weight, honey.

It's okay to not buy new clothes. Isn't that surprising? I did not buy any new clothes in January! No new nail polishes either. Yay me! ;)

It's okay to cheer for yourself.

It's okay to sneak in some Cookie Butter in your diet. According to a study, sweets make you feel happy.

It's okay to run the dryer before you go to sleep and wait till tomorrow when you get home after work to fold the clothes. LOL Or am I the only one?

It's okay to not blog ALL the time. You don't cook and bake all the time either and you love doing those too.

It's okay to blog all the time. ;)

It's okay to ruin your own appetite. I mean, who would have thought sunflower kernels can ruin an appetite?

PS
I have something awesome in store for you guys tomorrow so make sure to check back! Hint: $100.

It's Okay to be Different

So apprently, I'm all about link ups this week! I guess it's safe to say that I have missed blogging regularly and linking up? :)

I only have ONE it's okay statement for this week and it's...

It's okay to be different.

I tell myself this all the time because in the past couple of weeks, I've realized that I'm kind of different from a lot of people around me. The only few people that I feel I can resonate with are my mom and my sister. Yeah, go figure. LOL!

Let me tell you how I my thought process was when Ron asked me for what I wanted for Christmas.

I would like a pair of new Tory Burch flats but I'm sure I would never wear them because I heard they hurt the shit our of your feet.

I would like a Louis Vuitton purse but I'd rather get Salad Master pots and pans - still impractical but at least it's more useful.

I would like a Mercedes Benz but I'd rather drive my Mazda or trade it in for a Sonata because they are more efficient (oh and I heard some bad things historically about MB).

I would like to try Mastro's but paying over $100 for dinner for two sounds ridiculous.

I would like to own an iPad but seirously, what would I do with it - we have 3 laptops at home, 3 smartphones and a tablet.

I would like to try all the restaurants around our neighborhood but I'd rather go grocery shopping and make dinner for my husband. (I just said husband, I love saying husband *giggles*.)

As superficial as this county I'm living in is, I find myself rowing my boat to the opposite way, deviating from what everyone likes and just going with what I like. Don't get me wrong, I am a self-confessed trend follower but I always tend to just do things my way because...through my niece's words, "I don't want to be like the others" most of the time.

Oh how I've missed writing this!

It's okay to always become inspired to blog while at work... I think it's the yellow walls' fault. I read that it inspires creativity. ;)

It's okay to actually crave shopping. Actually it's a constant craving. I'm a shopaholic and I'm marrying a shopaholic guy. Sometimes we just window shop though. :)

It's okay to be the one of the only three people who love the AC on at work. All three of us are bloggers by the way. No correlation really, I just wanted to throw that out there!

It's okay to be super chill about big life events. It's good to woosah the shit out of stress and panic you know.

It's okay to take your lunch at Marshalls. Yup, I do that. I eat something then just walk to the place.

It's okay to have a pimple...before a big out of town trip. NOT. Just kidding. I haven't had a pimple for over a year. I don't understand why I have it now. Hmmm...

It's okay to keep coming back to Vegas because you want to. Woop! See you tomorrow, City of Sin!

It's okay to be jealous of the people who had time to do the CopyCat link up! I swear I will do it next week if I had time to before I go start my baking spree! ;)

It's okay to...

Love a lot of things. Hey, that's what my blog is about.

Forget that you were going to a Clippers game. At least I remembered when I was in the shower in the morning.

Accept that you NEED glasses. It's not that you're getting old, your eyes are just getting tired more quickly.

Wake up twice in one night because of bad dreams. In one dream, I opened our door thinking it was Ron and let a dark guy, almost like a tangible silhouette in our house... I woke up trying to move and almost screaming. The second one, I just ended up punching Ron on his right bicep - he asked why, I said I don't know I was sleeping. LOL Thank God for a guy who is sane enough to keep me sane.

Keep changing the color of your nails. We all have favorite colors "at the moment." No?

Switch your preference about which side of the bed you'd like to sleep in. Especially if it means the boyf will hug you pretty much all night.

Go to Marshalls and NOT buy something.

Buy rubber stamps even if you do not have an ink pad. LOL I NEED to go to Office Depot.

Join all these giveaways because freebies are awesome.

Shop early for Christmas presents.

NOT be embarrassed sometimes. Let's say your friend spots John Legend at the grocery store with his HOT girl friend at the register. Here is what you do...
Feel awkward coming up to him while his girlfriend is with him.
Wait for his girlfriend to walk away.
Gather all the courage to come up to him and confirm he IS indeed John Legend.
Forget that he's at the grocery store transferring stuff from his cart to the register.
Walk up to him and say, "Hi, excuse me, are you John Legend?"
When he says yes and asks how you are, you say "I'm great, do you mind if we take a picture with you?"
When he says he doesn't mind, you come closer and smile.

THAT. HAPPENED. Yup, that's JOHN LEGEND.

It's okay to take a break from outfit posts. Because I don't know. I just want to take a super short break.
It's okay to have fun and sing and dance at the (Filipino) Store. Not obnoxiously though. The thing about us Filipinos is, whenever we see another one of our kind, we get into a state where we think we know each other. LOL So while we were doing our thing at the store, people who were shopping and work there shook their heads while laughing at us a little. ;)
It's okay to be lazy. Sometimes not but it is okay sometimes. Got it?
It's okay to be have the boyfriend wash the dishes sometimes. As much as I feel guilty about having him do it because I'm just weird like that.
It's okay to eat when you're on vacation. Like a lot a lot. Like this...

Well I didn't eat all of them (except for the crab legs), I just made sure I got to try them! :)

It's okay...

to not shop for new clothes for a month.

to wear jeans on hot days...like yesterday. Yes, I started wearing jeans again yesterday because it was the easiest thing to pack. LOL

to sleep on the couch...especially when you kind of gotten used to sleeping next to someone. Not having that extra space helps with you not missing them next to you.

to laugh things off. Hey, the boyfriend and I are practically homeless right now but we're getting through by laughing it off.

to not know what's going to happen next.

How is it only Thursday? I woke up today thinking it was Friday. I already want it to be Friday, then the boyfriend can come over so we can spend some time and go on dates and hold each others' hands and stuff like that. But yeah, one day to go! :D

The yoga studio I go to is right next to and shares a parking lot with Popeye's and across the street from Wienerschnitzel so everytime I get out of there, my mind tells me I'm hungry which is no bueno because, uhm duh, I just worked out. Like one of the things I read on Pinterest said: Don't reward yourself with food, you're not a dog. Makes sense right?

My work out gets easier everyday... or maybe I should say I get better everyday. Awww yeah!

I can't stop thinking of the slipless headband from Lululemon. I'm thinking about going to the store today after work before I go to Yoga or maybe tomorrow. To buy or not to buy?

I was thinking of things to do this weekend and all I kind of want to do involves being in workout clothes. I swear, I've been living in workout clothes and skirts/dresses in the past week.

Speaking of dresses, I really want to take advantage of F21's BOGO on sale items and their free shipping for orders over $50 on my payday but knowing that I'll be fitter in the next couple of weeks is making me think twice about buying new clothes. What do you think?
