Let me just say that while I am always so happy when the holidays are here, I am so, so happy that there was nothing planned this weekend. No parties, no birthdays, no nothing. <3 The picture above pretty much sums up our weekend. It was very relaxed, borderline lazy actually. Well, I was lazy and Ron was the other half keeping us productive. Fox is the factor that keeps us both on our toes.

On Saturday, we went to Ikea, had breakfast, and shopped a little. To Costco to buy electric toothbrushes for me, Ron, my sister and her girlfriend, courtesy of my mister X. Last stop was Target where I used my buy one get another item free for Loreal Advanced Haircare products. Yay me! Later that night, we had super late dinner at the Kogi BBQ truck.
Sunday was lazier than ever except for the part where we met up with my sister, her gf and her gf's brother. We had dinner at Chipotle, courtesy of Ellen [Degeneres] and also got a few random things at Cotton On and JC Penney. Also, I am excited for the upcoming NFL games because this is the only time of the year that I care about football.

Today, I shall take pleasure in (again) cleaning the house, having pictures printed, and going to Rite Aid to use my coupons for beauty products.

Fine Mornings

One. Froot Loops. Ron's favorite.
Two. Cinnabon Whole Grain Cereal. So good.
Three. Sliced Orange. My dessert. ;)

Weekend mornings are usually the best especially when we do not have anything planned early in the day. A week ago, before starting our little early spring cleaning, Ron and I spent our morning chatting about our plans for the day and what we'll be having for lunch. It was lovely.

"We fuss and we fight and delight in the tears that we cry until dawn"

Last weekend was exhausting and bittersweet.

Exhausting.
On Saturday, we headed to Channel Islands Harbor to go kayaking and eat seafood for Grace's Nth birthday - she does not want to disclose her age for some reason, she's not even aware that my peoples already told me how young she is. Kayaking and eating is always a GREAT mix if you ask me. Paddling for a little more than and hour, burning all the calories and having that activity followed up by a chance to indulge in over 10 lbs of seafood is really a hit for me you know. ;)
When we got home (to our apartment, which was also the meeting place), my sisters and their friends prepared for a suprise birthday party for Grace and Barbs. I was about to leave but they asked me to help AND I heard the Mylo, the fatso is coming so I had enough reason to stay.

After the surprise, I headed to Carson, that's a good 30-35 mile drive for Koy's birthday. Met up with friends, Danna and Ron there and after maybe an hour there, we headed to La Puente for Coi, Mike and Ken's birthday. Everyone there was drunk and we left after a little more than half an hour because of Ron's birthday.

Bitter.
On our way home from the third party, Ron got ticked off because a friend at past 12midnight. I find it a little cute but he kind of took it to the extreme since I guess he does not really have a lot of reason to get pissed at me lately. Haha ;) I still think it's cute when he gets mad.

Sweet.
I had a surprise planned for him since Tuesday! While he was in class on Sunday, I went shopping for myself and for groceries for the surprise. I didn't want us to eat out that night - I feel like all the commute takes too much time from our lives and I've always wanted him to realize how inexpensive it is that we just cook our dinner when I'm at his place. I made Kwekwek (original surprise) and Pork Sinigang - he wanted me to surprise him for what we were eating for dinner. I also got mango ice cream for dessert but we were SO full already.

This weekend I realized that I still enjoy being in the kitchen - especially when I'm alone and I also love just having Ron watch me while I do stuff there. We also get to talk that way and I super enjoy that. He also turns to my Facebook News Feed when he sits at the counter while I work because he tells me everything he reads about our common friends.

How was your weekend?

Summer is Here

Wow, I have not been blogging lately. I guess I'm losing the blogging bug? Hope not. I've been going on shopping sprees lately and realized one thing. I spend less money on my shopping sprees than on weekends when I prefer to do "stuff" like go out with my friends and or party in. Anyway, now let me talk about whatever...

From April to June, I've gained over 5 pounds, it is not that alarming you may say but it is to me. 5 lbs is enough for my tummy to be too big when wearing dresses and clothes that are a little tight. I worry everyday about my weight and now I'm starting to skip meals again. My boyfriend on the other hand lost weight and is trying to gain his lost weight back. Now you know the reason why I'm getting fat.

Been spending a lot of my time with Ron lately. I love our very small conversations. I love how I can now get away with Instagram-ing or sleeping while he drives us home. He would just ask me what I'm doing and would pretend to get jealous when I say I'm instagraming. LOL. Sleeping while someone drives is becoming something that we're both getting comfortable in doing unless of course we're using the 350z which I have not practiced driving yet ;)

It's been very very hot here in Southern California, it brings my mood down. I would now get up earlier to avoid the gross sticky experience of getting out of the shower already sweating. I just hate hot weather, it's perfect for some activities but people should not consider this their ideal weather or they're going to be toasted.

Another Weekend, Another Week

Spent another weekend with friends. Despite my frustration of not being able to spend some quality time with Ron lately, I enjoy my time with my friends, drinking and making fun of each other. Hung out at Arvin and Ryan's place last Friday -loved that Ron came over. Went to a food truck festival on Saturday and got to eat at White Rabbit (had beefsteak) and KrazyBBQ (had the Krazy plate and a Krazy taco).

As suck-y as it may sound, my weekend was the most unproductive weekend ever - "responsible citizenly" speaking. I spent my Friday night partying at the Geisha House. It was a pretty awesome night that made me realize how much I missed clubbing and getting a little buzzed outside of the "safe zones" aka friends' apartments. I also missed dressing up in skimpy clothes so despite the few gained pounds, I managed to fit in them. ;)

Life is Good

So, life has been too busy and quite good. Ron and I finally got to celebrate our anniversary in Big Bear! Back to the place where we became official! :)

We also went snowboarding and I ate a lot of shit...again!

Before we went, we made sure we had time to hangout with our friends for the New Year! I had the best Cherry Bomb ever (even though I was sick at that time)!

I've also decided to spend more time out of the house on Fridays. Last Friday, I realized how much I love how we all try to eat at the cheapest places and drink at home to avoid expensive cocktails. Haha! Everyone's saving up for something! ;)

Oh and have I mentioned that my NY resolution is to love more, eat more, play less but drink more? ;) That picture above is me buzzed, hence the showing off of the crooked fingers. Haha! I've been also spending more time with our basketball friends and their families, mostly Chie and Nina. They're a really awesome couple with 3 handsome boys. After going to church last night, we went to The Boiling Crab and Crawfish (it's now called the Bucket of Crabs and Crawfish but I'm more fond of calling it using its former name). I ate with 3 boys, 2 little ones and 1 big one. ;)

Joshua and Jacob did not want to sit next to Tito Ron for some reason and they both wanted to sit next to me so I had to sit between 2 little ones. These kids are super cute and already know how to make jokes and stuff. They probably got that from their witty parents and Kuya Justin who sat across the aisle from us.
Ah! Ron also got a new phone! *victory dance* He finally got an HTC Evo, the phone he fell in love with at first sight. Hahaha! I got that from a conversation we had in the car...
Jan: If you fall in love with you're Evo, just give me your iPhone. please?
Ron: I've fallen in love with the Evo a long time ago.
Jan: How about me? Are you in love with me?
Ron: Eeeh. *make the "unsure" gesture with his hand*
Jan: Hmpf!

On other news, when I was trying to wake him up this morning so he could get ready for work...
Jan: I might not see you after work ok?
Ron: *made a sad face while half asleep*
Jan: Why, you want to drive me to LA tonight?
Ron: *made a sad face while half asleep then he made a gesture and asked me to hug him*
And that was enough to make me think today's a good day. :)

Ahhhh. Life is good...and sweet!

Before I forget, I just wanted to share some of my favorite pictures with Ron :)

;)
