We've Had More Productive Days

I promise, we do.
Fox seems to love the weather so much that he prefers to stay in bed for the most part of the day. He has not bugged me to play as much as he does. He's been hogging our new blanket in the living room and would always ask me to lift the comforter so he can squeeze himself in.

Today, I went to three stores including Costco which is a place I used to hate but now love. When I got home and unloaded half the groceries, I picked up Fox and took him to PetSmart with me to get him a new sack of dog food. On our way back home, he slept on my arm. That is how lazy he's become. Here he is in the cart, already starting to look sleepy.

Oh, and here's a pictureI sent Ron on Wednesday when Fox kept on hogging the blanket and to win it all, he slept on my lap!

Took the dog to the SCVVC mobile clinic yesterday to get his shots. He was so good with the needle poking. He also didn't see what it was (thanks for being strong, Ron!) so there was no trauma. He was not bad with the dogs, only with big one and he only barks when one of the dogs were barking. LOL Fox talks waaaay too much! Oh and you know what getting shots mean? We can take him to the doggy day care!!! Look at us in line yesterday...

Anyway, this post is actually dedicated to Fox because I'm linking up with Miki for Bad to the Bone today! So...Fox finds these littlest things that he can chew on like on Saturday, I knew he was playing with his new toy while we were relaxing in bed. The next thing I know, he already pulled the tag out and is chewing on it. Fortunately, he didn't whine when I pulled the tag out of his mouth (like he always does when I take something away from him). He just watched me throw it away.

An hour after that, while I was on my computer, I noticed that he is being too quiet. When I looked at him, he was holding that little screw thing between his paws and chewing on it. I sometimes think he is younger than 2 because of his chewing but then again they said he should be over 2 based on his teeth. He looks semi-cute when he's happily chewing on something but it's so dangerous for him! He also found my missing pearl earring on Monday. Thank God it was the big one that he cannot just swallow!

Eyeglasses c/o Firmoo

Obviously, this picture was taken months ago when my hair was way longer.

Summer is officially here you guys and I must say, the extra sunshine is nice but it messes up my body clock and brain quite a bit. I've almost gotten up at 5am in the morning thinking I was already late because my alarm did not go off. I'm a huge morning person and I, for the most part, do not bother waking up early as long as I know that I'm going to get stuff done before I take my afternoon nap. We're going to Fox's first vet appointment (with us) and I'm hoping everything is well. He's such a great dog and I cannot imagine how living without him is anymore.

I'm hoping Ron has other plans for us so we can make use of our Saturday afternoon. I got tickets to AMC on my birthday so maybe we can watch This is the End? I've heard great things about it! Do you guys have any suggestions?

Thankful for Yesterday and Today and Probably Tomorrow

Yesterday was a good mail day because I received my package from Misikko! Woohoo! I finally have a normal sized hair straightener. I have not used the flat iron yet but I probably will soon. My hair has just been flying away because it hits my shoulders so it just won't curl in like I want to, so when Brian from Misikko offered to send me their product for review, I of course said yes!

After a long drive home, I caught Ron and Fox on their way back from their walk. Ron let Fox in my car while he was on an important phone call. After I parked the car, instead of walking to the house, we walked back out and joined Ron and sat on a tree root and played with Fox.

Blazer: Styles for Less. Pants: H&M.

A few minutes after, our neighbor, parked her car to get her mail and offered to take our picture. Fox was too busy chewing on the piece of wood he found under the tree. ;)

It's a Beautiful Day

Having a dog has brought me to realize how beautiful our neighborhood is. We had late lunch yesterday under the sun in Old Town Monrovia where he barked at everyone. Oh God I don't know how to stop it! He sometimes responds to the QUIET command but for the most part, he wags his tail and barks. I guess that's how he says  "HI, I'M HEEEERE!"

We take walks every morning and afternoon so he can do number 1 and 2 and watch squirrels climb trees. He also wags his tail at the sight of other people. The picture above was taken this morning when everyone was still probably asleep. :)

I hope everyone else is having a great weekend! I'm currently folding clothes and this sleepy little guy is watching me. Haha!

How You Doin?

So my week has been about dog walks, making dinner and stepping up at work. LOL WHAAAT? Yeah, someone quit so we need to try to move on and well, get the job done!

Last night, I had a migraine. It started after I played with Fox. Ron was such a darling and took care of the dog and me. He let me go to bed early after giving me Aleve to get rid of the headache. I woke up happy and relieved today to the sound of a tiny dog whining. I ignored him until it was already time for our walk - Ron walks him thrice a day and I do it twice. Here's a picture of us after playing and me trying to rest so the migraine doesn't worsen...that did not work. LOL

My coolest aunt and my mom are coming over this weekend. The funny thing is, they're coming over after they party. LOL And well, I will just be at home waiting for them. I feel like I'm literally raising my mom and her friend. Going to IM my mom in a bit to ask about their plans so I know when I need to prepare something for them. I think it's about time someone makes them a Filipino meal. :)

I have not baked since...last week and something in me wants to punch myself just to push me to bake. Ha!

So how is your week going?

Leaving the House with a Heavy Heart

I left our house today with a heavy heart. I have been experiencing anxiety thinking about leaving Fox (our new dog) alone in the house. I got him a crate but Ron had a great idea this morning. You see, we have a half bathroom downstairs by the living room so he said we'll have the crate open facing the bathroom so he has room to move around in. Ron already bought him a play pen which should be delivered this week. I wish I had asked him to have it delivered in my office so nobody knocks and scares our little baby in the middle of the day.

Fortunately, we can save ourselves from the worry of our little buddy peeing everywhere in the bathroom. He's been potty trained and house broken but we honestly don't trust him with the house yet. Ya know, today is only Day 3.

He's been on two walks today already, one with me and another with Ron. They even sent me a picture (look below!). I wish I work closer to our house so I can come home to him during my lunch break. Don't get us wrong though, this getting left at home is not going to be a permanent thing. I plan on taking him and his crate with me to work so he can basically sleep under my desk and can go on walks with me. I miss his presence already. How do you pet parents deal with leaving your dog/s at home during work days?

We Adopted a Pup!

One bright and shiny Saturday afternoon, after stopping by at a party in Pasadena where Ron's mom was at, Ron asked me if I wanted to check out pets in the area. I thought he was just teasing me but after seeing how excited he was to go, we stopped by PetSmart which was less than 5 minutes away from where we were. We met this little cutie at the adoption fair at the store...

He gets anxiety and panics when he is carried (he was abused when he was younger) so he cried when Ron tried to carry him. But after Julia, the lady who is in charge of the cats and pups calmed him down, I was able to carry him while we petted him.

He was not the type of dog we'd go for. Hairy, kind of girly, too little and a little whiny so we said we had to sleep on it before making a decision.

We went to our local Pet Smart the next day but did not fun any dogs we could not take are mind off of. So my husband asked me if I was still thinking about that cute fluffy dog from the day before. I said yes, that boy is perfect for the size of our house, he's housebroken, he's sweet and he has a light colored coat! He seemed to agree with me so we drove back to Pasadena to check if he's still there. And he was!!! Ron's mom was our accomplice while there. She was a rockstar and just kept petting the pup until he was handed to us so nobody else gets him. Hahaha!

After picking him up, Ron got some goodies for him while we waited outside the store.

We've also gone on walks together to exhaust all this little guy's energy. When we got home, he was starving. I (yes I did, Ron was not home when I bought the crate, hehe!) have also decided to crate train him. I know some people think it's mean but I think it's meaner if I come home and find that he ruined something and I ignore him the whole night and scold him without any idea what I'm talking about. It's only been day 2 with him but he feels really comfy in his crate, he actually thinks of it as his den and goes in it by himself. Wiiiin! So, do you have any tips for new pet parents? :)

PS, here he is, introducing himself...
